R.E. and Clare have lived in Memphis for 46 years, having owned their own
business, Linkous Construction, for over 30 years. They have three children,
their spouses and 6 grandchildren. For them, family is everything, which is
why they have chosen to live at The Farms. Clare describes their decision to
choose an apartment at The Farms by saying, ” We want to live near our
family and we know all of our needs and wants will be met at The Farms.
We like the design, the beautiful acreage and serene setting, and the
additional care available to us on the medical campus if we ever need it.
After researching other communities in the area, we feel The Farms is
by far the best choice for us. It exceeds our expectations of what a
retirement community should be.
Many of our friends are
considering downsizing and making life simpler and carefree, as well.
At The Farms, we’ll be able to lock the door and travel knowing our home
will be safe. We look forward to having our family and friends over for
dinner at The Farms and we like the fact that it is a family-friendly
community in a safe and beautiful area.”
R.E. and Clare enjoy spending time at their lake house in Pickwick.
They have enjoyed the retreat of lake living for many years.
Clare is preparing for the Holidays now by pulling out her decorations
just in time for family gatherings during the Thanksgiving break. In addition
to Pickwick, they enjoy playing golf, reading, entertaining and traveling.
They are pleased to have Linkous Construction named the Construction
Manager for The Farms, especially since they will be enjoying the
community for many years to come.
